  1. 1) When Zack Matere says, “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” he is expressing an entrepreneurial concept because he is trying to publicize the Google search. This is a publicity to help spread the searches on Google but also Matere is an entrepreneur because he is a farmer and tries to grow his crops in order to later sell them and make a profit.

    2) Information can provide for a better life because if you have a greater knowledge of things then you can be more successful in life. If you know things then you can hold conversations and do many things such as repairing things and building things. Information can make you get job and sometimes very important ones. Information can make you invent things, because if you have an idea and know how to develop it then you can also become billionaire. The examples, which are evident in the video, are that it can make you understand things that previously you didn’t know and that it can bring knowledge to people that don’t have the possibility to access to this information. It also shows that it can help you be successful in you business, as in Matere’s case.

    3) Some aspects of Google are definitely to be considered as “social entrepreneurial”. This is due to the fact that it brings information to all the population in the world, even because there are tons and tons of searches every day on Google and because it is one the best search engines in the world. It makes people find things faster, whatever thing they are searching for and makes them informed in a very small amount of time, instead of going to the library and searching for books you can search for information directly from home without having to leave your house.

  2. 1.He says “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” – is this an entrepreneurial concept (or is he an entrepreneur)? Why or why not?
Yes, this is partial entrepreneurial concept because the development of technology has referred to the past of technology and knowledge. At present, entrepreneurs are trying to improve previous technology for comfort and use. Then it also means to create something which is completely new. Creation is starting from nothing, only a talented entrepreneur brainstorms an unprecedented idea or plan, which might be original.
In my opinion, I don't think he is an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur should think about the people's environment and benefits for the future.

2.How can information provide for a better life? What examples are evident in this video?
In this video, Zack Matere a farmer tries to help for older people by posting information on notice boards. This information can be seen by people who don't have access to Internet.
Sharing information can build good community by providing the means ti help each other. Doing a search in the video finds a solution of dying potatoes.

3.Would you consider some aspects of Google to be “social entrepreneurial” – why or why not?
Yes, for example, the Google translator is one of the most useful parts of Google. I think Google helps people for free because they earn the money through online advertising. Today Google has become vital and has an essential position for people all over the world.
They can search words which they don't understand or know, and obtain knowledge for work, business or school.

  3. 1) When Zack Matere says, “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” he is expressing an entrepreneurial concept as he tries to share and publicize at the most the Google company and especially the Google server, the search online used by everyone. The video shown though can be considered a publicity or some king of advertisement as it tries to share the importance of the Google search but Matere could also be considered an entrepreneur as he is a farmer and sells his crops (through his own business) and sells them in a market and tries to make a profit out of them.

    2) Information in life I believe is necessary and the more you have the better you live and the better life style you have; this clearly shown when Metere discovers that his potatoes are not going and his looks on Google the possible disease and by learning new information about the ants he makes his life better by throwing the ashes of burnt wood that keep the ants away from his crops. This makes his life better because now his potatoes grow and he will have his secure profit to use to feed himself and his grandmother. Also learning new information is what will make you successful in your business, because the more you know the better things will go (except in some cases!!).

3)Some aspects of Google should be totally considered as “social entrepreneurial”. They should be considered in that way because every time you look for something you are looking at someone else’s page, and by searching stuff on Google, not only you read or use other people’s stuff or material by surfing the server but Google brings the information to all the people in the world in a really handy way. Another way that Google is “social entrepreneurial” is because it is the best and largest search engine which was born thanks to college people which wanted to give a SERVICE that could have helped people find whatever they wanted in their houses without visiting libraries or friends.

  4. 1) When Zack Matere says, “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” he is conveying an entrepreneurial concept because he is publicly advertising or support the main source of knowledge, which would be technology or the Google server more precisely. However he is an entrepreneur because he is a farmer and is trying to create an opportunity for his future and himself as he sells crops through his own business.

    2) Information in life can create numerous opportunities and I believe is one of the most important factors in life. This is conveyed or showed when Matere tries to help elders by posting information on notice boards, Matere eventually, thanks to a search, was able to solve his potato dying problem.

    3) Some aspects of Google are definitely "social entrepreneurial". Google is a search machine, which means that people can find valuable information on Google. This implies that Google can help "spread the word" which is definitely considered social entrepreneurship. Google also provides a free service to its customers, which is another main aspect of most social entrepreneur organizations.

  5. Zack Matere’s concept of how when people have knowledge they can find the answers is indeed an entrepreneurial idea. I say this because by providing people with a new source of information unlike any other methods is what an entrepreneur would do. However I don’t think that Zack Matere’s an actual entrepreneur because he is using a convention, google, that has already been created and mass marketed.

With information one can improve many things. In the video, information allows Zack to get the ants off of his stock and thus saving his potato crops. Also Zack’s friend was able to build a wind turbine.

I would consider some aspects of Google to have some social entrepreneurial similarities. Google provides people with knowledge and the ability further improve themselves. However Google is a business and its main objective is not to improve the lives of people, but to make a profit.

  6. 1.He says “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” – is this an entrepreneurial concept (or is he an entrepreneur)? Why or why not?
This phrase Matere says about "when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions" is indeed an entrepreneurial concept because not only is he expanding the new ways or method to create the search, a source that is literally a trillion times more that provides information, is one reason. Another reason is because the host of this source, is Google, and he is publicizing and letting people know how useful the internet is through the Google search. In addition, he could also be considered himself also an entrepreneur because he is benefitting and making his business more successful, and also by helping the neighbours. He has found a system in which he is able to access information easily, and as he says "I use the internet to help people...I think im searching for...a better life"
2.How can information provide for a better life? What examples are evident in this video?
Information can provide for a better life like Matere said, because information can provide a way to create, and to know the various news or information. With information, it gives the possiblity to increase the productivity of any business or create something that they've always wanted. For example, specifically in the video, Matere's friend who wanted to expand his business, needed to have information. Thanks to the search, Google, they were able to find a way in creating a wind mill because the information provided everything necessary in order to construct one.
3.Would you consider some aspects of Google to be “social entrepreneurial” – why or why not?
Some aspects of Google can be considered to be "social entrepreneurial" because it provides the information necessary in order to improve their daily life, by obtaining knowledge. However, its purpose for having created Google to an extent benefited the people, but also created it to make a business out of it.

  7. 1. Zack Matere can be considered an entrepreneur simply because he is a farmer trying to improve his life and that of his neighbours through the material he has, including Goodle and the Internet which helps him greatly. Zack did not invent anything, he is just adding something to improve what he does, and that is an entrepreneur as well. When he says “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” he is introducing an entrepreneurial concept because he is publicly advertising, in a way, modern technology, and the Internet, Google.

2.Information can provide for a better life because with more information, you have more things to do and act upon with the little one may have, in other words, with more information, one can think of more ideas, more inventions, find more solutions to problems, and do more with the supplies he/she has. In this specific case, Zack had a simple, small crop, he was a farmer and by searching on Google, getting more information, he was able to improve his life and those around him, by selling crops through his own business.

    3. Yes, Google can certainly be considered "social entrepreneurial", because it is the best way to connect to the world, get inspired, think about new ideas, see the way the world changes, and also find out new facts about the world that reality would have never conveyed. Google is a great way to know more, I personally believe it represents humanity the best because it is a symbol of our infinte curiosità, desire to go beyond the known, and beyond the feasible. Google is also free, and has little or no problems, and very easy to use, and society can access to Google very easily.

  9. When Zack Matere says, “when people have the knowledge, they can find solutions” yes this an entrepreneurial concept because he is trying to create a useful and simple product for the people in his village. Instead google is using Matere as an example to advertise its research engine.

Information can provide for a better life because if you know more things probably your knowledge will help you solve problems by applying what you know. For example Matere in the video wanted to discover how to solve the problem for his potatoes and so searching on the internet he gained the necessary information that helped him solve the problem.

Some aspects of Google can be considered social entrepreneurial. WHen you navigate on google you get to see many different sites, people can use google to advertize ideas and projects. Google can be also considered solcail enterpreneurial because it spreads knowlege and people can find information, this service is socially benefitial.

3.Would you consider some aspects of Google to be “social entrepreneurial” – why or why not?

    1) Yes, its a deeper way to explain the utility of google search. Really makes you think how little things for us can be fundamental for others.

    2) Zack makes a research on potato deceases, and by typing 2 words he learned how to maintain healthy crops. You can find anything in internet, and some basic information can really help developing countries to grow.

    3) I don't consider it a social entrepreneurship, because google dose not give information by it self, someone needs to type and look for a specific thing. Google it self should not be considered a social entrepreneurship, instead Zack is a social entrepreneur because HE helps the other people to be more knowledgable on important facts by using google. Google is were the information is taken form, but you need a person to spread the education, and that person is the social entrepreneur.
