Gordon Gekko Challenge Instructions

1.Go to www.smartstocks.com

2.Sign-up (free/no spam)

3. Log-in to your new account

4.Under “Group Menu”, select “Join Group”

5.Select “M” and scroll to find “MMI Entrepreneurs2”  (password: gekko)

6.Create a Portfolio: Click “My Porfolios” under the “Dashboard” menu, then click “Create Portfolio”. Name: Full Name, Description: Class

7. Enter the “ticker number” or “symbol” (company) and number of shares – then add to portfolio. Repeat

Remember:

•**Be Sure to Research Companies and Strategize Before Adding to your Portfolio**

Ideas:

•Diversify (there are THOUSANDS of companies to invest in. Don’t only pick “Apple”)

•Take Risks (remember, it’s only a month long and fake money)

•Think about the future – what stocks do you think will increase? (remember slide about how/why stocks increase

•On the website, you have $1,000,000 – ONLY use $100,000!
